Bringing the craft of repair into schools
Do you want to help your students apply what they’ve learned through a concrete, fun, and meaningful topic?
Repairing isn’t just about learning technical skills: it’s also about learning to work together, exploring the inner workings of everyday objects to better understand them, and connecting the school curriculum to real-world, tangible issues.
I thought it was great! Being able to actually put what I learned into practice, interacting with someone who was having trouble, and sharing my passion with others who know nothing about computers.

Integrate repair into your lessons
We have selected four activities that are particularly well-suited to the curriculum standards to help you best integrate repair into your lesson plan.
Teaching guides and educational outlines are provided for each workshop. These will help you integrate the activities into your students’ learning journey by making connections (non-exhaustive list) with various subjects, as well as with the corresponding learning objectives and actions.

Thematic activities
To take it a step further, start a Repair Café at your school!
Beyond just repairs, a Repair Café at school is an opportunity to reach out to the neighborhood, build connections, and encourage the sharing of skills with families, local organizations, and neighbors. This initiative also allows students to apply what they’ve learned throughout the year in a real-world setting, giving them an active and rewarding role in a project that will leave a positive impact!
The project will be led by the school and supported by Repair Together. We’ll guide you step by step, with a starter kit, supplies, and promotional materials…
It was very interesting to see how we can fix something and what positive consequences that entails.
